St. John's High School is a school in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India.
The school was founded in 1887 and named the following year after Saint John Berchmans, a young Belgian Jesuit who had been canonised in Rome that year. The school is situated at Purulia Road, and educates pupils from class 7 to class 10. Pupils of classes 1 to 6 are taught at St. John's Middle School, which is located at the same site and operated by the same management. The school celebrated its centenary in the year 1989-90 with a year long celebration which was attended by the Chief Minister of the state and hundreds of alumni.
The school has a sister institution, St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, which is situated alongside it. Both schools are run by the Jesuits, a religious order of the Catholic church, and provide quality and affordable education to tribal and poor students. The language of instruction is Hindi. The school is affiliated with the Jharkhand School Examination Board for Class 10 exams. The school excels in Board exams and is one of the leading schools in Jharkhand.
